Historian Sara Rahnama is working on her next book, a history of the Middle East from the 1950s to the 1980s from the perspective of teenage girls. She is looking for women from the Middle East born between 1931 and 1976 who are willing to share about their teenage years. Participants can be anonymous (with their names changed to pseudonyms) in the final book. Interviews will be conducted in English.

Her first book, The Future is Feminist: Women and Social Change in Interwar Algeria, won book prizes from the Middle East Studies Association and the French Colonial History Association.
